Professor Sanjay Sinha

Sanjay Sinha is a Professor of Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine at the University of Cambridge. He completed medical training in Cambridge, followed by cardiology clinical training and a PhD in Manchester, UK. Prof Sinha then carried out post-doctoral studies in the USA with Prof Gary Owens on smooth muscle biology before establishing an independent group at Cambridge. His research group is part of the Wellcome-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, where he is the Deputy Director. Prof Sinha’s work combines the fields of stem cell biology and cardiovascular biology to provide new insights into human cardiovascular development and novel treatments for cardiovascular diseases.
